After the successful Environment Quiz last year, NMEPS decided to make it an annual event. It is targeted at students of Class IX and X Navi Mumbai schools. The initial round was carried out through a written multiple choice test by the schools. Students participated as individuals and the best three from each school then formed a team to represent their school in the Finals. As the response was good this year, a Preliminary Round of 10 school teams participated in the written quiz test conducted in DPS on 27.01.2018. Four teams were selected for the finals. These were from S. S. High School, D.Y. Patil, Podar International School (ICSE) and Apeejay School.
The Final round was conducted along with World Wetland Day celebrations. After four closely contested rounds, S. S. High School won the Navi Mumbai Green Gladiator trophy.
The teams won subscriptions for the Sanctuary Asia magazine and other awards along with the gleaming trophy. The event was attended.
